Wyndansea Selected for Jack Nicklaus Golf Club of Canada

Print E-mail
NORTH PALM BEACH, Fla. and UCLUELET, LONG BEACH B.C. - Developer Marine Drive Properties Ltd. has announced that Jack Nicklaus and the Nicklaus Companies have selected Wyndansea Oceanfront Golf Resort as the site for the Jack Nicklaus Golf Club of Ca ada. Wyndansea will become one of up to 25 clubs worldwide to share the unique distinction of being a Jack Nicklaus Golf Club, which was created as an exclusive access and reciprocity program for a limited number of elite Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Courses located in ideal markets around the world. The program will be available to no more than 35 Members per club.

Never before has a club been branded with the Jack Nicklaus name, and as part of this unique license, the Jack Nicklaus Golf Club of Canada at Wyndansea will be able to offer Associate Club Members reciprocity at other Jack Nicklaus Golf Clubs, as well as access to a Nicklaus Home established on each property for use by Jack Nicklaus, his family and other JNGC Members worldwide. In addition to the reciprocity privileges and the use of the Nicklaus Home at each club, there are no membership fees or annual dues, no green fees and benefits include access to club amenities and tee times at all Jack Nicklaus Golf Club locations.

Locations for future Jack Nicklaus Golf Clubs will encompass some of the world’s most sought-after markets and destinations. Current JNGC sites include New Zealand, Royal Island (Bahamas), St. Lucia and Anguilla in the Eastern Caribbean, the Patagonia region of Argentina, and Mount Holly, a ski destination in Utah.

S&P Destination Properties (www.sprealestate.com) is the exclusive listing agent now marketing the Signature Circle, an enclave of 30 oceanfront and semi-oceanfront estate-sized home sites varying in size from a one-half acre to three-fourths acre. In addition to membership in the Jack Nicklaus Golf Club of Canada, purchasers in the Signature Circle will receive other privileges including access to five-star luxury services and hotel amenities, vacation rental management, a private eight-acre park with 18-hole practice area, a lake, walk-on beach access and a private gated entrance.

"The rugged coastline, the wild Pacific, and the ancient rainforest surrounding Wyndansea are spectacular,” Jack Nicklaus said. “The West Coast of Canada has become such a hugely popular destination, and I think Ucluelet and Wyndansea make for an ideal location for one of the Clubs. Marine Drive Properties has given us the opportunity to create something truly special, and I think the golf experience has the potential to be as unique and memorable as the piece of property already is.”

Neighboring Pacific Rim National Park, Wyndansea is located just north of the charming coastal village of Ucluelet, along the spectacular West Coast of Vancouver Island. Wyndansea will feature a comprehensive mix of vacation homes, estate home sites, condominiums and an internationally branded luxury condominium hotel with 210 suites that will be offered for sale this fall. The 370-acre property is located on a peninsula that faces both the Ucluelet Inlet and the open Pacific Ocean.
